TIPS TO CLEAN CERAMIC WASH BASINS:

• Cleaning Ceramic wash basin is simple. A non-abrasive liquid or cream cleanser (Fairy Liquid or liquid Jif for example) will keep your ceramic sink spotless.
• Please do not use bleach or abrasive cleaners especially if you have fitted brass wastes as the plating will in time be worn away.
• Clean with dish washing liquid or liquid soap.
• Periodical cleaning is necessary if the water quality is hard water. This will prevent from scaling of salts on the surface.
• Do not use any harsh acid or chemical directly on the ceramic wares. This can cause permanent corrosion/ damage to the glaze surface.
• A mild hydrochloric acid solution of 50:50 ratios can be used to remove the salty deposits or stains due to use of hard water. Do not allow to stay the acid for more than 10 minutes.
• To remove any iron stain from ceramic basin or appliances, use the nail polish remover (spirit) on the affected area with a soft cloth or scrubber.
• While using any acid or chemical for cleaning, take care for the faucets like water taps, waste hole coupling and bottle traps and any other metal and plastic accessories, because its coatings may deteriorated or erase.
• If the water taps have leakage, arrest the leakage or change the tap. This can cause scaling on the surface, difficult to remove.
• Do not use any metal /wire brush on the glaze surface for scrubbing.
QUICK TIPS TO MAINTAIN WASH BASIN:
• Use fresh lemons to whiten small new spots and stains weekly if possible.
• To get the stubborn stains out you can rub a mixture of alum and lemon juice.
• Shine can be brought to the porcelain sink by cleaning it with the vinegar. You can pour the vinegar straight from the bottle and scrub it. This will leave your sink shiny and will also make it look new.
